The Stars at Night was a Sparkling Success!

Our generous guests and sponsors helped us raise over $126,000 towards services for our clients. Yeehaw!

The weather could not have been better, the drinks colder or the cake sweeter at our 2022 fundraiser, The Stars at Night: Boots and BBQ. Guests arrived decked out in their finest western wear and the mood was set by Jason Allcorn who belted out country music classics. The barbecue, prepared by Brookstreet Bar-B-Q and underwritten by Ray and Rima Salti, really hit the spot. KPRC weatherman and host of Houston Newsmakers, Khambrel Marshall, kept the program lively and moved it right along. Our featured speaker, STAR Drug Court graduate Jessica Y. spoke movingly about her recovery journey and her current job with UTHealth Houston helping others with substance use disorder. Our “Raise Your Paddle” event was hilariously led by Board Member Rev. Patrick Miller and raised over $13,000! The winners of our four raffle items walked away with tickets to sports events and gift cards to some great Houston restaurants. At the end of the night, our generous guests and sponsors helped us raise over $126,000 for programs and services for our wonderful clients! Yeehaw!
