Party Sober Movie Night

The Party Sober Partnership’s second event was a smashing success! Over 60 people came to the Council on Recovery’s auditorium to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home and enjoy free unlimited popcorn, candy and drinks. Several families with children attended, as well as men from Open Door Mission and women from Angela House. Thanks to Justice Forward Board member Jill Williams, we had also had a photo booth that everyone enjoyed.

My favorite moment of the night came when I got on stage in front of the screen to welcome everyone. A young man on the front row decked out in a Spider-Man costume said, “Hey, you can’t be up there! We’re about to watch a movie!” Needless to say, I cut my welcome short.
